ICEC REVIEW
INTERNAL REPORT

This report provides a summary of the work of the members of ICEC since the last cyclical review in 2000 (Appendix 7). The review coincides with a transitional phase of the Centre’s life, marked by both endings and beginnings. Two core faculty members (including one of the co-directors) and several doctoral students who comprised the original cohort of graduate students associated with the Centre’s work have left OISE/UT, and several multi-year major research projects that have provided a focus for much of the Centre members’ research work over the past four years have come to a close. The next cycle of the Centre’s existence and activities are marked by the recent or pending involvement of several new core faculty members, the emergence of a new cohort of doctoral students engaged in the Centre’s work, faculty success in securing three new multi-year research grants/contracts, participation in the organization and implementation of an international conference in 2005, and the opportunity for the Centre to contribute to the departmental and Institute’s evolving academic plan.
